The students will learn to solve word problems that involve fractions during this week’s math classes.
Throughout this week’s EL classes, we’ll focus on recounting the events of a story in sequential order.
Students will continue a study unit on our earth, moon, stars, and planets during science classes this week.
We will be learning how to write in cursive throughout the week.
Additional Important Information
Students will take a multiplication and division quiz on 0 through 12 facts every Friday.
Students are asked to wear their DRES shirts on the first Friday of each month to show school pride.
Please remind your child to bring a shoe or large cereal box to school before Friday, February 8. We are going to decorate these boxes at school and use them for Valentine’s Day mailboxes. Students will exchange Valentine cards with each other on Valentine’s Day. Please remind your child to bring their cards on Thursday, February 14. Our class list is in today’s folder.
Please read the flyer in today’s folder about #OtherPeopleMatterDrive. Third grade students are asked to donate blankets at school from February 5 through the 15th. These items will be given to the Salvation Army shelters to distribute to those in need.
Second quarter report cards and middle of the year mCLASS reading information went home with each student on Friday, February 8. Please review these with your child and return the brown envelope tomorrow.
Friday, February 15 will be and Early Release day. School will dismiss at 12:30 on this day.
Track 4 students will have their spring pictures taken on Tuesday, February 26.
