We’ll continue a study unit on elapsed time during this week’s math classes.
Throughout this week’s EL classes, we’ll read nonfiction texts and learn to identify the main idea as well as the supporting details of the text. Students will also research the global issue of clean water and take notes about this critical topic.
Students will observe, measure, and feed our bean plants during our science classes this week.
We will continue learning how to write in cursive throughout the week.
Additional Important Information
Students will take a multiplication and division quiz on 0 through 12 facts every Friday.
Students are asked to wear their DRES shirts on the first Friday of each month to show school pride.
Due to the warmer weather, please remind your child to bring a water bottle every day.
You are invited to join us in the classroom as we study plants this week. Please let me know if you are able to be a guest reader this week and help us learn more about this this interesting topic.
School will be closed on Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day.
Our reading EOG test will be administered on Wednesday, June 19 and the math EOG test will be given on Thursday, June 20.
Friday, June 28 will be the last day of the school year.
