Our reading and math end-of-grade tests are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday of this week and we are working diligently to prepare for them. We will continue to review all of this year’s reading and math skills. We’ll also spend time reviewing test-taking strategies. Please remind your child to learn their multiplication and division facts.
Additional Important Information
We are currently working hard each day to prepare for our EOG tests by reviewing all of the math and reading skills we have focused on this year. Please encourage your child to use their READY strategies when answering reading comprehension questions and solving word problems. We are scheduled to take our reading EOG test on Wednesday, June 20 and on Thursday, June 21, we’ll take our math EOG test. Please remind your child to use their test-taking strategies, get plenty of rest, eat well, wear comfortable clothes, and bring a “can-do” attitude on these days. This is their time to SHINE!
Friday, June 22 will be Book Day. Please remind your child to bring in their favorite book along with a favorite stuffed animal on this day.
Please read, complete and return the stapled papers that were sent home in last week’s folder. These notes will surely boost your child on EOG days. I will send home your child’s EOG scores as soon as possible.
Students are able to work on a superb website that reinforces third grade math skills. The site is called Splash Math. Instructions for using this fun educational site at home are in your child’s agenda. Please remind them to use this terrific website at home.
Please be sure to bring a valid picture ID for all school events. You will need to show this to go beyond the front office.
Track 4 students will visit their fourth grade teachers on Step-Up day which is scheduled for Thursday, June 28.
The last day of school will be Friday, June 29.
Tracks 1, 2, and 3 will begin the 2018-2019 school year on July 9. Track 4 students will start the new school year on July 27.
